Posting these cat-cartoons-without-the-cartoon was a long journey that I don’t know if I’ll repeat soon again. A daily blog is tough … even when you have your material handed to you! But, I couldn’t have done it without the artwork … Continue reading →

Father Time is riding out his last few minutes of being the temporal keeper for 2011; he sits in an easy chair with a calendar showing “Dec 31” behind him and a grandfather clock pointing to the time of 11:53. … Continue reading →

In addition to enjoying Seattle Center, we passed through Pike Place Market! Here’s a shot of my brother Jay, mother, me, and nieces Natalie and Ashley. Oh yea … and Rachel the pig!

Here’s a cute picture

Posted by joeabbott on August 2, 2017

A couple weeks back my mother along with my brother and his family came out for a visit. We had a grand time and among the many places we visited was the Chihuly Garden and Glass Exposition at the Seattle Center. It was a beautiful day amid beautiful works of art … with some beautiful people! Here’s a shot of my mother, niece Natalie, sister-in-law Karen, and niece Ashley. It’s hard to imagine a better group of folks to enjoy the afternoon with.

Quick wedding pic!

Posted by joeabbott on October 28, 2014

20140816_171738Weddings are a great time to meet up with family and enjoy seeing folks you may not spend time with on a day-to-day basis. With three weddings this past calendar year, I had a lot of opportunity to rub shoulders with many of my favorite people … including some nieces and nephews.

The hard part about spending time with the younger set is that I just don’t move fast enough! They have high speed games, are on the move nonstop, and don’t feel the same social pressures I do at upholding a bit of decorum. OK, who am I trying to fool … I’m not very big in the decorum department. But, they are a fast moving set of people!

So here is a picture than I enjoy where I finally caught my two nieces, Ashley and Natalie, sitting down and was able to jump in for a quick picture!

As I look at the list of relatives who have marriages on the horizon, the next chance I get for wedding pictures with these two may be at their respective unions! Until then, I’ll return to this post so I can recall the fun we had together here.
