Who wants more Mr. P.?

The other day I caught a video of me walking our neighborhood pheasant to the backyard for a little seed treat.

    Hi Joe. I remember hiking in the field behind Mom’s house when we were kids. Pheasants would be hidden in the cattail brush and would not move until a person was right on top of them. When the birds took flight they would make a screeching sound that just scared the bejeebies out of you.

      I often remember “the swamp” as being a fantastic place … lots of fun and it was nice to see some wild things out there. This fella seems “tame” but that may just be that he’s used to people. We haven’t seen him in a couple days, so we’re hoping he found a proper field or something down in the valley from our house. We can’t imagine there are many peahens in this neighborhood!
