Posting these cat-cartoons-without-the-cartoon was a long journey that I don’t know if I’ll repeat soon again. A daily blog is tough … even when you have your material handed to you! But, I couldn’t have done it without the artwork … Continue reading →

Breakfast of pranksters

Posted by joeabbott on January 17, 2014

My mother knows that, regardless of how old I am, I love having fun. Fun purely for fun’s sake. Many would shake their heads at my foolish antics, but I’ll save getting old for later: right now, it’s Fun Time!

And how does she recognize this joie de vivre? By getting me gifts like the “make your eggs in the shape of an owl” silicone mold! Yes, simply prepare your pan as normal, drop in the mold, crack and dump your eggs over the eye-holes, and allow the eggs to cook sunny side up!

I’ll be honest, I’m not a sunny side up sorta egg-eater, so I covered the pan and gave my owl a bit of an occlusion; call it a cataract! Regardless, I enjoyed my owl with branches of sausage and leaves of toast! A perfectly wonderful (and fun) breakfast!

Thanks, Mom!
