Posting these cat-cartoons-without-the-cartoon was a long journey that I don’t know if I’ll repeat soon again. A daily blog is tough … even when you have your material handed to you! But, I couldn’t have done it without the artwork … Continue reading →

Father Time is riding out his last few minutes of being the temporal keeper for 2011; he sits in an easy chair with a calendar showing “Dec 31” behind him and a grandfather clock pointing to the time of 11:53. … Continue reading →

Continuing adventures of Laurel and Fred’s 2012 trip out to Seattle!

I’d like to say I can remember all we did, but I actually need to reference the pictures from our events! We really packed a lot of fun things in!

This picture is from the “Ride the Ducks” tour … the “midget” at my feet is a superimposed picture of the tour guide, Captain Jack Tupp … a name he readily admits is a pseudonym. But, there we are in front of the “Duck” with the base of the Space Needle and the EMP in the background!

The tour starts at the Space Needle, wends its way to the waterfront (we took a detour through Pike Place Market when a train threatened to block our path), past SAM and the Hammering Man on the way to Gasworks Park and the Lake Union water portion of the tour. We saw sea planes and the floating home used in the movie Sleepless in Seattle.

It was a fun trip and enjoyed by all!
