Not sure what I was expecting but …

imageI did not expect Morgoth, greatest of the Ainur, chief enemy of the Eldar, and “Black Foe” to be driving a Mazda RX-8.

Sure, the RX-8 only had a 7-year run and was discontinued in Europe after failing emissions standards (sounds like an evil car to me), but I would have thought something either more custom or truly bad befitted Tolkien’s darkest bad guy. Perhaps he just liked the handling. <shrug>

Oh, I spotted this car on the way to Bellevue Square Mall this past weekend when heading to the Lego store do a little business with the Lord of the Rings line of toys. Apropos, no?
