A cat sits on the floor below a stove on which a tea kettle is whistling. The thought bubble over the cat’s head contains a picture of the whistling kettle, inside of which there is a bird singing to create the sound.

    I thought I WAS reading the cartoon from the sidebar the other day… dould I have gotten it before you did? I am constantly amazed at the multitude of ideas that appear in those cartoons. I wonder if one really tried, if we could come up with anything as amusing. Well, I guess you’d have to be a good artist to pull it off. So I’ll just keep enjoyed your daily column. Thanks. Momma
