Posting these cat-cartoons-without-the-cartoon was a long journey that I don’t know if I’ll repeat soon again. A daily blog is tough … even when you have your material handed to you! But, I couldn’t have done it without the artwork … Continue reading →

Father Time is riding out his last few minutes of being the temporal keeper for 2011; he sits in an easy chair with a calendar showing “Dec 31” behind him and a grandfather clock pointing to the time of 11:53. … Continue reading →

Rainy Weekend

Well, it’s October in Seattle and, more specifically, it’s Halloween weekend which can mean only one thing: rain. And lots of it. So what to do? Well, upload pictures to Flickr, that’s what!

In August the family met in Colorado to celebrate my cousin Lee’s wedding to Vikki. So, from over the US, Abbotts, Birds, Doriotts, Dunbars, Krakers, and Vanderboschs gathered to celebrate with Lee and Vikki and then to head to Estes Park for an enjoyable week near and in the Rocky Mountain National Park.

But, I’d made the offer to the family for them to send us their pictures and then I’d post them on our Flickr site so we could all enjoy them in one place. That sounded like a good idea until I was faced with hundreds of images and many many gigabytes of data. That’s a lotta picture taking.

Anyhow, the images from one set are busy going up … I’m at 15% on this set. I expect to be done sometime this weekend, but not positive I’ll make it.

More on the CO trip when I finish pushing up the pictures!
