Posting these cat-cartoons-without-the-cartoon was a long journey that I don’t know if I’ll repeat soon again. A daily blog is tough … even when you have your material handed to you! But, I couldn’t have done it without the artwork … Continue reading →

How’s Trouter?

Posted by joeabbott on May 23, 2009

Glad you asked. I’d take a picture of the little beast but she’s eating … which is good because there’s a bit less of her now than before.

For a long time she was around 14#. Or maybe that’s where she was at her “fattest”. Then she lost weight when getting older and a bit ill and hovered around nine pounds. Well, this past week she stopped eating again and dropped to eight pounds. We were worried that, like the other times, “this was it”. Well, Suzy redoubled her efforts to keep her hydrated, we went back to the full antibiotic dosage, and she’s back to nibbling.

It’s hard to say that the little bit she nips will keep her going, but the demands on her energy are few. She eats and sleeps. But not as much of either as she would if she were healthy.

But, she’s “OK” for now and looks like she’ll be part of the family a bit longer.

Oh … and extra points for anyone who knows how “Trouter” became to be an acceptable name for the little girl. 🙂
