Posting these cat-cartoons-without-the-cartoon was a long journey that I don’t know if I’ll repeat soon again. A daily blog is tough … even when you have your material handed to you! But, I couldn’t have done it without the artwork … Continue reading →

Seattle Weather: snow

Posted by joeabbott on December 22, 2008

For the last week I’ve been homebound by choice: we’re getting dumped on here with snow and in this city, that’s unusual. It’s mostly unusual that it’s not only sticking around but more is being added daily! We can no longer see the lower tier of a small fountain we have on our deck in the backyard.

So, in this world of connectivity, it’s not terribly difficult to work from home mail-wise, but there’s a lot of work that’s not just typing. The only consolation for not getting in is that only about 10% of my teammates managed to be in. And building services are reduced.

Last night we saw probably another 6″ of snow and my wife is itching to get to work. I grew up in MN so I’m familiar with driving on snow but it’s been a while. Still, I’d like to see how things are out there. Wish me luck … I’ll report in later
