Posting these cat-cartoons-without-the-cartoon was a long journey that I don’t know if I’ll repeat soon again. A daily blog is tough … even when you have your material handed to you! But, I couldn’t have done it without the artwork … Continue reading →

One day when she was out, I went into the shop, grabbed a board, and started building. By the time she got home i was mostly finished. The hard part is that the roof piece is a couple inches wider than all the other parts and I needed a separate board!

While it was built rather quickly, it’s sat for a bit. First it was awaiting a bit of paint and then waiting on me to attach it to a post.

The post is a simple landscaping stake used to support trees in their first year or so. I drilled a few ¾” boards, stacked them up, screwed them to the bottom of the birdhouse, and just slipped it onto the post. Could hardly be easier.

Now bluebirds have a place to stay in our yard!
