Posting these cat-cartoons-without-the-cartoon was a long journey that I don’t know if I’ll repeat soon again. A daily blog is tough … even when you have your material handed to you! But, I couldn’t have done it without the artwork … Continue reading →

Father Time is riding out his last few minutes of being the temporal keeper for 2011; he sits in an easy chair with a calendar showing “Dec 31” behind him and a grandfather clock pointing to the time of 11:53. … Continue reading →

Next Project … Air tool bench

Posted by joeabbott on September 4, 2008

I don’t spend as much time in the shop as I should … given how much I’ve spent on tools … but I usually have a project or two going at most times. Usually small things, sometimes bigger. I just finished a bird house that is in the shape of a sand castle. And when I say “finished”, I mean that I’ve moved onto the next, not that it’s completely done. 🙂

My latest project though is a cart or tool bench designed for air tools. I got the idea from a Shop Notes plan for their Air Tool Station and will be creating a fairly true version of it. I couldn’t find a cheap (but nice) plywood to build it from so I ended up buying some nice 3/4″ oak. I don’t do a ton of stuff with air tools but I have a few and they’re spread all over the garage. By building this station I should be able to pull all my tools into one place and avoid hunting all over the place when I want to use one. And better yet, it’ll give me a nice project bench to assemble stuff on.
